Tunto Square - 1440 mm - Walnut Pendant

The Tunto Square Pendant brings together crisp geometric lines and the natural warmth of solid wood, resulting in a fixture that feels both architectural and organic. Designed by Mikko Kärkkäinen and crafted in Finland, this 1440 mm version is finished in rich walnut, showcasing the natural variation and character inherent to solid wood. Measuring L.1440 x H. (canopy) 35 x W.220 x D.110 mm, with a wood profile of W.40 x H.60 mm, the pendant offers a refined presence suited to dining areas, kitchens, and living spaces alike.

Equipped with high-performance lens optics, the Square Pendant delivers direct, precise illumination with excellent visual comfort. The LED light source is set to a 2700 K, 3000 K or 4000 K color temperature, offering a bright, neutral white glow with a color rendering index of Ra = 93 for true, vivid color representation. With an LED lifespan of 50,000 hours, this fixture is built for long-term performance.

Control is handled via the optional Casambi (Bluetooth) system, a wireless 2-wire solution requiring only active and neutral wires at the ceiling outlet. This allows for continuous dimming through a smartphone, tablet, or optional Tunto EnOcean switch, offering flexible, cable-free control over your lighting atmosphere.

The suspension height is 2 meters, with a 3-meter power cable, both of which can be shortened during installation. Rated IP20 for indoor use only, the pendant meets Class II safety standards and carries the CE mark. As with all Tunto wood products, occasional dusting with a soft, dry cloth is recommended, and the piece should be kept away from extreme temperature changes to preserve its natural beauty over time.

Which optic should I choose?
Microprism — diffuses the light for the softest, lowest-glare result; the usual choice above desks and workstations.
Honeycomb — shields the LED so the fitting reads dark from normal viewing angles, with tighter beam control; suits open-plan offices and hospitality.
Lenses — the most directional option, giving crisp, focused light; ideal over dining tables and kitchen islands.
