Tom Rossau TR41 Floor Light

The Tom Rossau TR41 Floor Light brings a striking Nordic sensibility to any interior, standing at Ø 31 x H 157 cm with a sculptural, asymmetrical silhouette crafted from slats. Part of the acclaimed TR41 series, this design was nominated for the Design Awards 2021 in the category "Årets Lampe" (Lamp of the Year), a testament to its distinctive character and craftsmanship.

The TR41 draws on the design heritage of Tom Rossau's celebrated slatted lamps, the TR7 and TR37, while introducing a fresh architectural expression. The signature cylinder shape is tightened with narrowings at the top, bottom, and centre, creating a subtle hourglass form. Notably, the central narrowing sits lower on the lamp, generating an intriguing asymmetry between the upper and lower sections that gives the piece an unexpected visual edge.

The lampshade is made from a special material combining paper and plastic, resulting in a pleasant opacity, refined quality, and rich texture that invites touch. At the top, the shade is finished with a piece of birch wood, while the floor lamp itself rests on a matching birch wood base — softening the sharp, sculptural lines with a warm, natural touch.

The TR41 Floor Light is part of a versatile series that includes both floor lamps and pendants in three sizes, allowing pieces to be combined or used independently throughout the home. E27 LED light bulbs are included, ready for immediate use.
