Tom Dixon Cast Iron Foot

Tom Dixon's Cast Iron Foot is an anatomical curiosity reimagined as a piece of functional art. Part sculpture, part object of everyday use, it brings an eccentric and grounding presence to any interior, blending the familiar with the unexpected in true Tom Dixon fashion.

Crafted from solid cast iron, the piece carries a substantial weight and a distinctly tactile finish, lending it a sense of permanence and quiet authority wherever it is placed. Its unusual silhouette challenges the ordinary, transforming a simple form into a conversation piece that commands attention on a desk, shelf, or console.

Versatile by nature, the Cast Foot can serve as a paperweight, a sculptural doorstop, or simply stand alone as an accent object, its presence as practical as it is artistic. It sits comfortably within a considered interior, adding texture and narrative to spaces that favour thoughtful design over conventional decoration.

Each piece is individually sand-cast from iron and finished with a durable powder coating, a process that ensures longevity while embracing the imperfections inherent to handcraftsmanship. As no two casts are ever exactly alike, every Cast Foot carries its own subtle irregularities, small variations in form and finish that give the object genuine character and soul.

Bold, tactile, and quietly provocative, the Cast Iron Foot stands as a testament to Tom Dixon's ability to turn the unconventional into the desirable, offering a distinctive addition to any curated collection of design objects.
