At the heart of its versatility is a smart power system: connected via USB, the PL2 functions as a standard table lamp, while unplugging it triggers an automatic switch to Sowden's own Li-ion batteries, transforming it into a fully portable light source. These batteries recharge over USB in approximately 4 hours when the lamp is switched off, ensuring it is always ready for use wherever needed.

The lamp features an integrated Sowden LED disc light source at 3000 K, offering a warm, inviting glow. It is fully dimmable and replaceable, allowing for long-term use and easy maintenance.
