Sowden CL4 Ceiling Lamp Shade

The Sowden CL4 Ceiling Lamp Shade brings the distinctive design language of George Sowden into a soft, sculptural form. Crafted from silicone in a two-tone white and light green finish, this shade measures Ø 26 x H 20 cm and offers a tactile, contemporary alternative to conventional lampshade materials. Its rounded, playful silhouette makes it a striking addition to any ceiling fitting, whether used alone or paired with others in a cluster arrangement.

This shade belongs to the Shades collection, launched in 2020 after George Sowden discovered the exceptional way silicone diffuses light, creating a warm, even glow that softens any interior. Beyond its visual qualities, silicone is a highly practical material: non-toxic, easy to clean, resistant to shocks, and able to retain its colour over time, making it a durable choice for everyday use.

The CL4 is sold exclusively as a shade, without a ceiling rose or electrical components. It is compatible with any standard E27 pendant fitting and should be used with an E27 LED bulb of maximum 15 W, not included. For a complete setup, the Sowden Ceiling Rose Kit — comprising a cable, ceiling fitting and E27 bulb holder — is available separately, allowing full flexibility to combine the shade with the fitting of your choice.

A refined yet functional accessory, the CL4 shade is ideal for those looking to personalise their lighting with a distinctive material and a design signature rooted in colour, form and innovation.
