Sowden CL3 Ceiling Lamp Shade

The Sowden CL3 Ceiling Lamp Shade brings the playful, sculptural language of designer George Sowden into the home through a striking tricolour palette of blue, light green and red. Crafted from silicone, this shade measures Ø 22 x H 22 cm and belongs to the Shades collection, launched in 2020 after Sowden discovered the exceptional way silicone diffuses light, creating a soft, even glow with a distinctly contemporary character.

Beyond its visual appeal, silicone offers genuine practical benefits: it is non-toxic, easy to clean, shock-resistant and holds its colour over time, making the CL3 a durable choice for everyday use. Its rounded, tactile form adds a sense of warmth and playfulness to any interior, whether hung alone or paired with other shades from the same collection for a bolder, layered effect.

This shade is sold on its own, without a ceiling rose or electrical system. It is designed to fit any standard E27 pendant fitting and accommodates an E27 LED bulb of maximum 15 W, sold separately. For a complete, ready-to-install setup, the Sowden Ceiling Rose Kit—comprising a cable, ceiling fitting and E27 bulb holder—is available separately and can be paired seamlessly with this shade.

An ideal accessory for those looking to personalise their lighting scheme, the Sowden CL3 Ceiling Lamp Shade combines Scandinavian design sensibility with functional, long-lasting materials, making it a versatile addition to kitchens, dining areas or living spaces seeking a distinctive touch of colour and craftsmanship.
