Serax Surface Bowl

Serax Surface Bowl L in Rusty Brown brings the raw, weathered beauty of the Dutch coastline into everyday tableware. Part of the acclaimed Surface collection by designer Sergio Herman, this bowl draws inspiration from his native Zeeland — a landscape of shifting tides, jagged coastlines, and windswept dunes. The rough textures and subtle unevenness of each piece echo that natural terrain, giving the bowl a distinctive, sculptural character that feels both organic and refined.

Crafted from glazed stoneware, the bowl showcases a reactive glaze technique that produces gentle variations in tone and finish across each piece. No two bowls are exactly alike, and these hand-finished irregularities are embraced as part of the collection's authentic charm rather than considered a flaw. The result is a warm, earthy Rusty Brown hue that adds depth and richness to any table setting.

Measuring 9 x 9 x 4 cm with a capacity of 10 cl and weighing just 0.18 kg, this bowl is a versatile addition to daily dining or styled serving arrangements. It is fully food-safe, dishwasher-safe, microwave-safe, and oven-safe up to 180°C, making it as practical as it is beautiful.

As Sergio Herman describes it, "every surface tells a story" — and this bowl, with its rugged elegance and quiet sophistication, brings a piece of that narrative to your table. Please note a minimum order quantity of four pieces applies to this item.
