Serax Ra Starter Plate

Discover the Ra Starter Plate in Off-White, part of Serax's celebrated Ra collection by Ann Demeulemeester. Crafted from glazed porcelain, this plate rests on a subtle pedestal base, a distinctive design detail that literally elevates the food served on it. The silk matte glaze in a timeless, warm ivory tone gives the piece a quiet, refined presence, embodying the sculptural minimalism that defines Demeulemeester's work in ceramics.

Measuring 24 x 24 x 2.4 cm and weighing 0.81 kg, this starter plate fits comfortably within the 21-25 cm range designated for starter courses, making it a versatile addition to any table setting. As with many pieces in the collection, slight irregularities may appear due to the handmade finishing process, lending each plate a unique character rather than a flaw.

Practical as well as beautiful, the plate is dishwasher safe, microwave safe, and oven safe up to 200°C, making it a reliable choice for both everyday dining and special occasions. Please note that a minimum order of two pieces applies.

The Ra collection reflects Ann Demeulemeester's ongoing exploration of contrast and craftsmanship, following her transition from fashion into sculpture, ceramics, lighting, and furniture design. Since 2019, her collaboration with Serax has produced porcelain, cutlery, and glassware collections known for their poetic tension between structure and nonchalance, precision and warmth — qualities beautifully expressed in this off-white starter plate.
