Serax La Mère Plate with Handle

Discover the Serax La Mère Plate with Handle in Venetian Red, a striking piece from Marie Michielssen's celebrated ceramic tableware collection. Crafted from glazed stoneware, this plate reveals the extent of the craftsmanship behind each piece, with subtle imperfections in its formed shape and a bold, warm red glaze that feels both nostalgic and thoroughly modern. The organic silhouette and integrated handle make it a versatile addition to any table setting, equally suited to serving or everyday dining.

The La Mère collection is a loving ode to the (grand-)mother figure and to women in general. By embracing eating together as a moment that connects people, the line reflects the intuitive roles women have fulfilled in family life across generations. Each shape is unique and hand-moulded, giving the tableware a distinctive vertical structure that sets it apart. Alongside a broken white and a warm, near-black dark brown, Marie Michielssen introduced this bold Venetian red as a third, contrasting colour, designed to be mixed and matched with the darker tone for striking table compositions.

Measuring 20 cm in length, 17 cm in width, and 2 cm in height, with a weight of 0.35 kg, this plate is dishwasher, microwave, and oven safe up to 180°C, and fully food-safe. Please note a minimum order quantity of two pieces applies. As pieces are finished by hand, slight irregularities may occur, celebrating the uniqueness of each item in true La Mère spirit.
