Serax Eloïs Stool

The Eloïs Stool by Serax brings a sculptural yet functional presence to any interior, designed by Ann Demeulemeester in collaboration with her life partner Patrick Robyn. Four tapered legs are set outside the seat, foregrounding the elegantly skeletal architecture that defines the piece, while a cross-braced structure connects the legs and lends the design its quiet structural integrity. This interplay between delicacy and strength is a signature of Demeulemeester's aesthetic, echoed throughout the wider Eloïs furniture collection, including its coordinating round table.

Compact and stackable, the Eloïs Stool measures 44 x 44 x 46 cm and weighs 4.0 kg, making it as practical as it is refined. Its proportions echo those of the larger Eloïs Round Table on a more discreet, intimate scale, offering a versatile solution for seating in the home, whether used alone or grouped together.

Crafted from beech, the stool is available in Beech Black / Off-White and Beech Black / Oak Natural, both reflecting the anticipated deep contrasts central to Demeulemeester's design language. All wood pieces in the collection are FSC certified and finished with a sprayed lacquer or water-based stain, protecting the surface while allowing for easy cleaning with a slightly damp cloth. As with all handcrafted wooden furniture, natural variations in grain and tone may occur, adding to the individual character of each piece.

Intended for indoor, dry environments, the Eloïs Stool is not adjustable or modular, but stands as a timeless, considered object designed to be lived with and cherished.
