Serax Cora Table

The Cora Table by Serax is a striking study in geometry, designed by Ann Demeulemeester in collaboration with Patrick Robyn as part of their debut furniture collection for the brand. Its character lies in the off-set angles of its construction: flat planks of solid beech wood are arranged at 90-degree angles to form the legs, casting shadows that create the illusion of additional lines within the piece. This same logic shapes the tabletop, a 90-by-75-centimetre rectangle with corners cut away to accommodate the legs, forming an exaggerated cross reminiscent of forms found in ancient architecture.

Crafted from solid beech, the Cora Table is available in Beech Black, Beech Cream, Beech Lilac and Beech Off-White, allowing it to suit a variety of interior palettes while retaining its sculptural presence. The wood is finished with a sprayed lacquer or water-based stain, protecting the surface while allowing it to be cleaned with a slightly damp cloth. As a natural material, the beech may show subtle imperfections and evolve gradually over time, a quality considered part of its authenticity and uniqueness.

Measuring 90 cm in length, 70 cm in width and 75 cm in height, and weighing 18.7 kg, the table is intended for indoor, dry environments. It reflects Demeulemeester's broader design language, one built on contrasts, between strength and fragility, structure and nonchalance, poetic form and radical simplicity. The Cora Table brings this dialogue between proportion and geometry into a functional, sculptural piece for the home.
