Serax Cici Table L

The Cici Table L by Serax makes a strong statement through simple gestures. A cruciform wooden base supports a circular top to bold effect, while the top surface is nestled within the circular structure as if resting on a plinth. This edition combines oak stained brown with a top in cream painted canvas, a pairing that emphasises the textural contrast between the two materials through a considered colour treatment.

The combination of oak and painter's canvas is a signature of the Ann Demeulemeester – Serax furniture collection, continuing a relationship with these materials that dates back to earlier Ann Demeulemeester designs. The table is crafted from FSC certified oak, finished with a sprayed water-based stain that protects the surface against dirt and allows for cleaning with a slightly damp cloth. As wood is a natural material, slight imperfections and changes over time, such as shrinkage, expansion or colour shifts under light exposure, are to be expected and considered part of each piece's uniqueness.

Designed for indoor, dry locations, the Cici Table L measures 180 cm in length, 180 cm in width and 75.5 cm in height, with a weight of 147 kg. It is not modular.

Many pieces in this collection are finished by hand, and slight irregularities may occur, adding to the individual character of every table. The Cici Table L reflects the distinctive aesthetic of Ann Demeulemeester and Patrick Robyn, exploring contrasts between structure and nonchalance, strength and fragility, resulting in a piece that is as sculptural as it is functional.
