Serax Aura Side Table L with LED Light

Designed by Ann Demeulemeester for Serax, the Aura Side Table L with LED Light is a striking study in geometry and balance. Crafted from solid wood, its form is built around two flat circles serving as top and bottom, joined by a slender curved pillar and a thin cylindrical column set parallel toward the outer edge. The result is a sculptural silhouette that feels both architectural and effortless, embodying the refined, contrast-driven aesthetic that defines the designer's work.

At the heart of the design lies an optional integrated LED light, set into the tabletop beneath a translucent cover. Objects placed on the surface appear to float on a glowing pedestal of light, a poetic detail that continues a signature theme running through previous Ann Demeulemeester collaborations with Serax. The light intensity can be adjusted intuitively by simply stroking the surface of the column, allowing the mood to shift from a soft glow to a brighter presence.

The Aura Side Table L is available in a range of finishes, including Beech Black, Beech Cream, Beech Off-White, Oak Natural, Oak Stained Black, and Oak Stained Brown, allowing it to adapt to a variety of interior palettes while retaining its distinctive form. Each piece is finished by hand, meaning slight irregularities may occur — a natural part of its individual character.

Measuring 38 x 38 x 72 cm and weighing 6.7 kg, this side table is intended for indoor, dry environments. It can be cleaned with a slightly damp cloth, and as with all solid wood pieces, natural variation and subtle changes over time are to be expected. A refined addition to the living space, it brings together sculptural presence and quiet illumination in equal measure.
