Serax August Stool

Designed by Vincent Van Duysen for Serax, the August Stool in Eucalyptus Green embodies a refined, minimalist aesthetic rooted in monastic simplicity. Originally conceived for the terrace of a converted Antwerp monastery, the August collection reinterprets historic architecture through a contemporary design lens, translating restraint and proportion into a versatile piece of furniture for modern living.

Crafted from powder-coated aluminium, the stool is built to withstand daily use both indoors and outdoors, making it a flexible addition to terraces, gardens, kitchens, or living spaces. The muted Eucalyptus Green finish lends a soft, natural tone that integrates effortlessly into a wide range of interior and exterior settings, from understated Scandinavian schemes to warmer, earth-toned environments.

With clean lines and balanced proportions, the August Stool measures 45 x 45 x 45 cm and weighs 6.0 kg, offering a sturdy yet lightweight silhouette that is easy to move and reposition as needed. As with many pieces in the Serax collection, the stool is finished by hand, meaning slight variations may occur — a natural characteristic that adds individuality and authenticity to each piece.

Part of the wider August collection, which also includes chairs, lounge chairs, sun loungers, and tables, this stool pairs seamlessly with other pieces from the range for a cohesive, considered outdoor or indoor ensemble. A quietly confident design object, the August Stool speaks to those who value timeless craftsmanship paired with everyday functionality.
