Serax August Bench

The August Bench in Eucalyptus Green brings the quiet elegance of Vincent Van Duysen's design language to any interior or outdoor setting. Part of the celebrated August collection for Serax, this bench embodies a minimalist silhouette with contemporary proportions, crafted entirely from powder-coated aluminium. The muted green finish lends it a soft, natural presence, allowing it to blend effortlessly into both refined interiors and lush garden settings.

Designed to be as versatile as it is beautiful, the bench is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use, making it a flexible addition to terraces, patios, hallways, or living spaces. It measures 120 cm in length, 45 cm in width, and 45 cm in height, with a weight of 11 kg, offering a sturdy yet visually light presence in any room. The seat height is fixed, and the design is not modular, keeping true to the collection's pared-back philosophy.

The August collection draws its inspiration from Van Duysen's transformation of a former monastery into a hotel in Antwerp, where he designed this series for the terrace. The result is a timeless expression of monastic simplicity reinterpreted for modern-day living, echoing the calm, disciplined lines of its historical setting while offering the comfort and durability required for everyday use.

As with many Serax pieces, the bench may be finished by hand, meaning slight irregularities can occur — a natural feature that adds to the individuality and craftsmanship of each item. A refined, versatile choice for those who appreciate understated design with a strong sense of heritage.
