Serax August Armchair

Serax August Armchair L / Sand belongs to the minimalist outdoor furniture collection designed by Vincent Van Duysen, originally created for the August hotel project set within a former monastery in Antwerp. Crafted from powder-coated aluminium, this armchair embodies the same quiet, monastic simplicity that defines the entire August range, translating a historic setting into a refined, contemporary silhouette suited to both indoor and outdoor living spaces.

The armchair features a slightly wider seat and backrest, offering enhanced comfort that is further supported by its integrated armrests. These generous proportions reflect a modern-day approach to relaxation, making the piece equally well suited to a shaded terrace, a garden lounge area, or a serene interior corner. For additional comfort, matching seating cushions are available separately.

Finished in a muted Sand tone, the armchair fits seamlessly into calm, understated interiors and outdoor settings alike, in keeping with Van Duysen's signature material and color restraint. As many Serax pieces are finished by hand, slight irregularities may occur — a natural characteristic that adds to the individuality of each item rather than detracting from its quality.

With dimensions of L 49 x W 48 x H 85 cm and a weight of 8.25 kg, the August Armchair L is both sturdy and practical, designed for long-term outdoor use without compromising on aesthetic refinement. It stands as a versatile, design-forward seating solution for those seeking timeless, architecture-inspired furniture from Serax and Vincent Van Duysen.
