Santa & Cole Básica Mínima Table Lamp

Santa & Cole always takes inspiration from Mother Nature to create its products. The products symbolize the culture of peaceful co-existence with nature. In 1994, Santiago Roqueta and Santa & Cole team created the Santa & Cole Básica Mínima Table Lamp. It is a mini version of the Santa & Cole Básica Table Lamp created in the 1980s. In a world where halogen bulbs and metal structures ruled, it marked the return of warm materials, like cardboard, fabric, etc. The robust design and the glowing look made it popular. Even, now it is hailed as a timeless product.

The lamp has a solid structure, but it is lightweight and portable. It is available only in 2 versions, unlike its larger counterpart. One version has a pleated natural parchment lampshade with a bronze finish base. The second version has a ribbon-stitched lampshade with a nickel finish base. The stitches add a unique craftsmanship-like finish to the lampshade. Like Básica, both have a strong birch wood tubular column.Unlike Básica, Básica Mínima comes equipped with a thin circular metal base for balancing. The lamp comes with a dimmer on the power cord. It provides a subtle pleasing light and is ideal as a bedside lamp or a decorative lighting.The unassuming natural look makes it a welcoming choice for traditional and modern interior settings.
