Rotaliana String W2 Wall Lamp

Designed by Dante Donegani and Giovanni Lauda in 2011, the Rotaliana String W2 Wall Lamp brings a distinctive tension-based silhouette to any interior. Its two extruded-aluminium arms are held in balance by an elastic cable sheathed in coloured fabric, creating a sculptural, flexible structure that adapts to the way you use light. The moulded head rotates freely, allowing precise, effortless aiming, while the integrated touch-sensitive switch offers smooth, intuitive control.

Conceived as a refined reading lamp, String W2 pairs technical performance with expressive design. It is available in a matt black or matt white structure, paired with a string in orange, black or silver, allowing the lamp to be tailored to different colour schemes and personalities within the home or workspace.

The lamp offers a choice of two light engines: Tunable White, adjustable from 2200 to 4000 K for full control over ambience, or Dim-to-Warm, which shifts from 2500 to 4000 K, gradually warming the light as it dims for a cosy, candle-like glow. Both versions deliver 9 W of consumption, 700 lumens of output and a CRI of 90, ensuring accurate, comfortable illumination for reading and close-up tasks alike.

Complete with an included driver, the Rotaliana String W2 Wall Lamp is a ready-to-install solution that combines Italian design heritage with contemporary functionality. Its blend of engineered materials and tactile detailing makes it a versatile choice for bedrooms, living rooms and studies where quality light and considered design go hand in hand.
