Rotaliana String F1 Floor Lamp

Designed by Dante Donegani and Giovanni Lauda in 2011, the Rotaliana String F1 Floor Lamp brings a distinctive tension-based structure to the classic reading lamp. Two extruded-aluminium arms are held in balance by an elastic cable sheathed in coloured fabric, creating a silhouette that feels both engineered and expressive. The moulded head rotates freely, allowing precise direction of light, and is fitted with a touch-sensitive switch for effortless control.

The String F1 is available with a matt black or matt white structure, paired with a string in orange, black or silver, allowing the lamp to be tailored to different interiors and personal taste. Two light technologies are offered: Tunable White, adjustable between 2200 and 4000 K, or Dim-to-Warm, which shifts from 2500 to 4000 K, growing warmer as the light is dimmed for a softer, more intimate glow.

Technically, the lamp delivers 9 W of power and 700 lumens of output, with a CRI of 90 for accurate, true-to-life colour rendering. A driver is included, ensuring straightforward installation and reliable performance.
