Piet Hein Eek Solid Glass Pipe Chandelier

Piet Hein Eek's Solid Glass Pipe Chandelier is a striking example of the designer's signature approach: transforming raw, industrial materials into refined, sculptural lighting. Composed of solid glass and brass, this chandelier plays with the interplay between transparency and structure, resulting in a fixture that feels both substantial and luminous.

Measuring 45 cm in diameter and 50 cm in height, the chandelier's design centers on thick glass pipe elements, arranged to catch and refract light in unexpected ways. The brass detailing grounds the piece, offering a warm, metallic contrast to the cool clarity of the glass. Together, these materials create a dialogue between industrial robustness and delicate craftsmanship, a hallmark of Piet Hein Eek's design philosophy.

Produced in 2019, this chandelier is a piece for those who appreciate honest materials and considered construction. Its solid glass components lend the design a sense of weight and permanence, while the brass framework adds structural clarity and a touch of refinement. The result is a lighting object that feels sculptural in its own right, equally suited to a statement placement above a dining table or as a focal point within a considered interior scheme.

As with much of Piet Hein Eek's work, the Solid Glass Pipe Chandelier embraces material honesty over ornamentation, letting the inherent qualities of glass and brass speak for themselves. It's a fitting addition for those seeking lighting that combines substance, craftsmanship, and a distinctly industrial elegance.
