Normann Copenhagen Hinx Pendant Lamp

The Normann Copenhagen Hinx Pendant Lamp draws its name and spirit from designer Simon Legald's childhood memories of playing hopscotch, known in Danish as "hinkesten." That sense of playfulness and nostalgia has been distilled into a refined lighting object that balances character with calm, understated design.

Hinx is defined by the interplay of contrasting elements: a softly glowing opal glass shade set against a solid, ring-shaped block positioned behind it. This pairing brings both depth and a subtle touch of color to the design, while exploring the tension between translucency and weight. The matte etched opal glass diffuses light evenly and gently, while the more substantial resin element grounds the piece with sculptural presence.

Crafted from tinted, unsaturated polyester resin combined with etched opal glass, the Hinx Pendant is equipped with a G9 socket. A G9 3W 220 lm LED bulb is recommended for optimal, dimmable light output (bulb not included). The lamp is suspended by a 4 m white textile cord, allowing for flexible placement above dining tables, kitchen islands, or reading nooks.

Measuring Ø 15 cm x H 18 cm and weighing just 0.7 kg, this pendant lamp is compact yet impactful, working equally well as a solitary statement or grouped in multiples. Designed by Simon Legald in 2026, the Hinx Pendant Lamp brings warmth, atmosphere, and a quiet graphic presence to any interior.
