Nemo Applique à Volet Pivotant Double

Designed in 1962 by Charlotte Perriand, the Applique à Volet Pivotant Double is a refined expression of functional modernism. Originally conceived for her mountain chalet in Méribel, this wall lamp features a minimalist metal structure paired with two adjustable aluminium “volets” that define both its aesthetic and performance. The fixture emits a soft indirect light towards the wall while allowing the beam to be oriented as needed, creating a flexible and atmospheric lighting effect suited to both residential and architectural spaces.

In its E14 version, the luminaire is designed for ease of use and installation, incorporating an integrated switch, cable, and plug system for adaptable placement. The adjustable shutters can be manually pivoted to modulate light intensity and direction, offering a balance between ambient illumination and focused output. Available in a range of finishes from anodized aluminium to vibrant color accents the design remains timeless, combining technical precision with a sculptural presence that reflects Perriand’s philosophy of “useful forms.”
