Cocoon material?
Sprayed cocoon material is a technology that was developed around 1960 by Friedel Wauer, by wrapping a steel frame like the silkworm forms a cocoon, he created lighting that is particularly soothing and atmospheric.
The small opening at the top of the Strand Open pendant lamp provides soft, direct lighting upwards, while the large opening at the bottom emits bright lighting downwards. The wavy shape combined with the stringy, semi-transparent structure of the cocoon material creates the delicate and intimate look.
The Strand Pendant Lamp has a steel inner structure and a PVC-covered steel wire. The Strand Open pendant is available in 3 sizes, 28cm diameter, 40cm and 60cm. Choose one size or combine different sizes for maximum effect.
