Moooi NR2 Medium

The overall aesthetic is extremely unique with a dash of magical in the mix. Its unique making and superb elasticity make for an eye-catching but functional design that will look absolutely enchanting in all sorts of modern and even neo-classical interior settings.

Designed by Bertjan Pot in 2015, the NR2 from Moooi’s collection features a synthetic build and a very distinct aesthetic. The designer himself has related the design to an “elegant, bright, lighthearted bubble dressed in a fine thread.” The idea was to create a semi-translucent light fixture that glimmers and shines in the darkness like a beacon of hope.

Constructed from plastic, polyester and fiber glass, the structure and stability of the NR2 light fixture are extraordinary. Note that the fiberglass threads are extremely fine in this one, which enhances the elliptical form of the shade even more. The excellent balance between the form and lighting creates a magical experience that spices up the overall look of all sorts of interior spaces.

The NR2 lampshade from the Moooi collection comes in white color. The reflective quality of the white hue elevates the light throw of this fixture two-fold. Along with its matching white cable sturdy, elastic build, this fixture is truly a masterpiece of contemporary ideas and execution!
