The Minale Lounge Chair is built around an over-sized chrome frame wrapped in tailored Italian leather. The seat and backrest are cut from top-grain hide and soft-padded for comfort, in leather that deepens and softens with age. It comes in Black Leather or Tan Leather, both on the chrome frame.
The design traces back to 1968 and the Castiglia, a chair Marcello Minale co-designed with Achille Castiglioni for Zanotta. In 1972 Marcello returned to the idea alone and drew this lounge chair, a fuller, more relaxed evolution of the original. Decades later his son Massimo reimagined it again: solid chrome, hand-stitched leather hems, adjustable belt straps and solid brass 'M' logo caps. The leather cover is adjustable and replaceable, and the chair stacks up to four high.
W 70 cm, D 75 cm, H 79.5 cm, seat height 40 cm. Shipped flat-packed with an 8-screw assembly. Made to order and shipped 6 to 8 weeks after purchase.
