The Marset Fris 215 Pendant Lamp is the largest expression of Joan Gaspar's ingenious 2023 lighting system, designed to draw thin, precise beams of light through space. At its core lies a glass tube that does far more than enclose the light source: it also performs a mechanical function, suspending the entire structure while allowing the lamp to rotate and its beam to be steered in any direction. This clever fusion of material and function is what sets Fris apart from conventional pendant designs.

Through the transparent glass, the lamp's inner workings are visible: two distinct profiles, one housing the light source, the other shaped as a parabola that projects a crisp, intense beam. In this 215 cm version, the Fris unit is supported by a strap, allowing it to be used as a striking standalone piece or combined with other units in horizontal, vertical or perpendicular arrangements, creating dynamic intersections of light within larger compositions.
