Marset Fris 155 Pendant Lamp

The Marset Fris 155 Pendant Lamp, designed by Joan Gaspar in 2023, reinterprets the idea of directional lighting through a strikingly simple gesture: a slender glass tube that both encases and steers a precise beam of light. Fris is conceived as a multi-purpose lighting system, allowing several units to be combined in different sizes and positions, each one aiming its own beam independently. The 155 cm pendant version is part of a family that also includes 80 cm and 215 cm lengths, offering flexibility for composing custom light structures.

What sets Fris apart is the dual role of its glass tube, which serves not only as a protective element for the light source but also as a mechanical component, suspending the entire fixture and enabling it to rotate so the beam can be steered in any direction. Through the transparent glass, the internal structure is fully visible: one profile houses the light source, while the other acts as a parabolic reflector, producing a crisp, intense beam.

In its pendant configuration, each Fris unit is held by a strap, making it possible to arrange multiple lamps horizontally, in line, stacked, or perpendicularly to one another, creating dynamic intersections of light. Each unit can also be used independently as a standalone fixture, offering great versatility for both residential and contract projects.

The Marset Fris 155 Pendant Lamp is available in Black and Bronze finishes, with a choice of 2700 K or 3000 K color temperature, allowing the fixture to be tailored to the desired ambiance and architectural context.
