Louis Poulsen VL 45 Radiohus Ø 370 E27 Pendant Lamp

Originally designed by the renowned Danish architect Vilhelm Lauritzen in the late 1930s, the Louis Poulsen VL 45 Radiohus Ø 370 Pendant Lamp is an extraordinary statement piece, inspired by the lighting created for Radiohuset, the Danish Broadcasting Corporation’s headquarters, completed in 1945. With its impressive 370 cm diameter, this grand pendant lamp embodies a perfect balance of historical significance and contemporary refinement, making it an ideal centerpiece for expansive interiors.

The VL 45 Radiohus Pendant features a monumental three-layered, mouth-blown glass shade in a classic Opal White finish, ensuring a timeless and elegant aesthetic. Complemented by untreated brass details that develop a natural patina over time, this lamp remains true to its original design philosophy—understated luxury and masterful craftsmanship. The Opal White glass delivers a soft, diffused glow, creating a warm and inviting ambiance while maintaining its striking visual impact.

Each VL 45 shade is meticulously handcrafted using traditional mouth-blown glass techniques, ensuring every piece is unique. The artisanal process introduces subtle variations in texture, adding to the lamp’s distinctive character. With its sheer scale, the Ø 370 variant is designed for grand architectural spaces, high-ceilinged interiors, and statement installations, where its presence can be fully appreciated.

With its remarkable proportions, exquisite craftsmanship, and timeless elegance, the VL 45 Radiohus Ø 370 Pendant Lamp is more than just a light—it’s a bold design statement and an enduring icon of sophisticated illumination.
