Louis Poulsen VL 45 Radiohus Ø 175 Pendant Lamp

Designed by the esteemed Danish architect Vilhelm Lauritzen in the late 1930s, the Louis Poulsen VL 45 Radiohus Ø 175 Pendant Lamp was originally conceptualized for the iconic Radiohuset, the Danish Broadcasting Corporation's headquarters completed in 1945. Known for its elegant functionalism, this pendant lamp harmonizes a historical design with modern aesthetics, making it as revered as the building it was made for.

The VL 45 Radiohus Pendant showcases a glossy, three-layer, mouth-blown glass shade enriched with untreated brass details, reflecting a philosophy of understated luxury and enduring design. Initially launched as the 'Office Lamp,' it's available in a spectrum of colours including the classic Opal White and charming new hues like Pale Rose, Pale Yellow, and Amber. These contemporary variants not only offer versatile styling options but also demonstrate a fascinating transformation in illumination, altering their appearance dramatically when lit.

Each shade of the VL 45 is crafted using age-old mouth-blown techniques—a testament to authentic craftsmanship. This meticulous process involves layering glass with a special mixture of minerals to achieve the desired tones, further enhancing the individuality of each lamp. Due to the handmade nature of these shades, variations in color and texture are common, adding to the unique charm and singular character of every pendant.

Embrace the rich history and exquisite craftsmanship of the Louis Poulsen VL 45 Radiohus Pendant Lamp, a piece that transcends time with its functionality and style.
