Louis Poulsen PH 5 Mini Pendant Lamp

The Louis Poulsen PH 5 Mini Pendant Lamp represents a timeless masterpiece in lighting design, originally conceived by Poul Henningsen in 1958. This lamp was born from Henningsen's frustration with the constant changes in bulb shape and size, which he deemed unnecessary. His innovative solution was the PH 5, a design so adaptable that it seamlessly combined utility with the sleek, clean lines characteristic of mid-century aesthetics, paving the way for the PH 5 Mini.

Introduced in 2017, the PH 5 Mini authentically preserves the essence of Henningsen's original intention. Crafted with a diameter of about 30 cm, this smaller rendition perfectly fits contemporary spaces without sacrificing the iconic design's identity. It incorporates a three-shade system developed by Henningsen in 1925, ingeniously utilizing a logarithmic spiral to ensure an even light distribution that eliminates glare entirely, thus enhancing the quality of illumination.

The hallmark of the design is its ability to emit a cozy, glare-free downward light, while simultaneously highlighting its own framework, emitting a mild, pleasant light at its core. In 2020, the allure of the PH 5 Mini was further elevated with the introduction of the Monochrome series, featuring shades in matte black, white, and a striking ultra blue, offering aesthetic flexibility for both subtle and bold interior designs.

The PH 5 Mini not only illuminates spaces but also elevates them, proving to be more than just a lamp but a piece of enduring design, equally at home in modern and traditional settings.
