The Ingo Maurer Floatation Pendant Lamp made by Ingo Maurer is an exotic pendant lamp made of 3 shades of fine Japanese paper. The Floating Pendant Lamp by Ingo Maurer is available in Version 1: Ø 120 cm, Version 2: Ø 100 cm and Version 3: Ø 75 cm.
The individual lamp shades of floatation Ingo Maurer Pendant Lamp hang from slim steel wires being turned around at the ceiling rose. The red LED ring iron of the pendant lamp works as a physical counter weight and a visual light paper. You can freely adjust your Floatation Pendant Lamp in height by moving the ring up and down. The paper of the Floatation is purposely wrinkled as artistic element.
It responds to fluctuations of atmospheric humidity that modifies the tension between the shades. That is why the Floatation Pendant Lamp by Ingo Maurer is not fit for rooms with high humidity. Shades can be changed individually as required.
The ceiling rose (Ø 22 cm) of Ingo Maurer Floatation Pendant Lamp is made of white lacquered metal. In addition, yje floatation comes in different diameters. The red iron ring that comes with this pendant lamp gives accent to the lamp and also functions as counterweight for height adjustment.
