Expressive and poetic table lamp
Seine is a poetic collection of table lamps, ceiling lamps and pendant lamps inspired by the effect of light in moving water. Space Copenhagen uses the layering of mouth-blown glass to represent that fluidity. A material that in first insance is also fluid and can be manipulated so that, once solidified, it reflects the shine and movement of a gently flowing river.
The lampshades of the Seine table lamps have a clover-like shape with a grooved pattern, creating a textured and layered light. The glass is either clear smokey tinted, where you can see the structure of the lamp, or coral coloured with a sandblasted interior, giving a fuzzier, cloudy look. The Seine table lamps have a dimmer switch on the cable for an extra poetic effect when you use this table lamp as a mood light.
The base of the Seine table lamps is made of metal with an antique brass finish. From the sturdy base, 4 metal arms depart to support the lampshade. The visible screws on the outside of the glass lampshade, sleek metal structure and grooved glass shade create a design that looks contemporary, industrial and nostalgic at the same time.
