Gubi Doric Coffee Table

The Gubi Doric Coffee Table represents a masterclass in contemporary design, drawing inspiration from the classical architecture of ancient Greece and Rome. This rectangular coffee table measures 140 x 80 cm, making it an ideal centerpiece for modern living spaces that demand both functionality and refined aesthetics.

Crafted with meticulous attention to detail, the Doric Table showcases the sublime materiality of limestone as its defining feature. The rich texture and depth of the stone surfaces reveal intricate detail and nuance with every glance, creating a surface that is as visually engaging as it is tactile. This natural material choice elevates the table beyond mere furniture into the realm of sculptural art.

What sets this design apart is the sophisticated interplay between form and function. The inward curving profile of the legs draws directly from the Doric column tradition, yet reinterprets it through a distinctly modern lens. Rather than appearing monolithic or heavy, these elegantly tapered legs impart a sense of lightness and grace to the substantial stone top. This design choice underscores the exceptional craftsmanship invested in each piece, transforming a functional coffee table into a statement of design excellence.

The Doric Coffee Table by GamFratesi for Gubi exemplifies the brand's commitment to restraint, symmetry, and solidity. It is a piece for those who appreciate the marriage of classical inspiration and contemporary sensibility, where every curve and surface tells a story of thoughtful design and premium materials.
