FRFlos Toio Floor Lamp
Détails du produit
The Flos Toio Floor Lamp is an iconic piece of lighting design created by the legendary Castiglioni Brothers, Achille and Pier Giacomo, in 1962 for Flos. Inspired by the work of French avant-garde artist Marcel Duchamp, this award-winning floor lamp has become a true design classic.
What makes the Toio instantly recognizable is its indirect lighting approach — the lamp head faces upward toward the ceiling rather than downward, creating a soft, diffused light that beautifully illuminates any interior space. Crafted entirely from steel, it boasts a distinctive industrial aesthetic that sets it apart from conventional floor lamps, making it as much an object of art as a functional light source.
The lamp features an adjustable height mechanism via a screw at the base, allowing users to customize it to their preferred level. Originally designed with an iron core transformer and a low-voltage light source, the Toio has been updated to accommodate a 220V light source and a four-step dimmer, while faithfully preserving its original silhouette and structure.
Available in red, white, and black finishes, the Flos Toio Floor Lamp is designed for indoor use and is the perfect statement piece for any living space that appreciates the intersection of design, history, and function.
