Ferm Living Staffa Stool

Drawing inspiration from the striking volcanic rock formations of the island of Staffa in Scotland, the Ferm Living Staffa Stool brings a piece of raw natural beauty into the modern home. The Staffa collection takes its name from the old Norse word for "pillar," a fitting tribute to the dramatic basalt columns that shaped its design language.

Each piece in the collection is crafted entirely from glass fibre reinforced concrete, formed through an innovative casting process that gives every stool its own rough, uneven surface reminiscent of hand-carved stone. No two pieces are ever quite alike, making each Staffa Stool a truly unique object with a strong sculptural presence.

Beyond its striking appearance, the Staffa Stool is designed with versatility in mind. Suitable for both indoor and outdoor use, it can serve as a sturdy stool for extra seating or as an unexpected side table beside a sofa, armchair, or outdoor lounge setting. Its bold, architectural form blurs the line between art and function, making it as much a design statement as a practical piece of furniture.

Whether placed in a minimalist living room, a textured patio, or a considered gallery-style interior, the Staffa Stool naturally draws attention and invites conversation. It stands as a celebration of raw material and organic form, offering a grounded, tactile counterpoint to more refined furnishings.
