Ferm Living Oblique Bench - Black Stained Ash

Discover the Oblique Bench by Ferm Living, a piece that quietly bridges two design traditions with remarkable ease. By fusing Japanese woodworking techniques with Scandinavian design sensibilities, this bench embodies a philosophy of low living, where simplicity and craftsmanship take center stage. Its sculptural form is both minimal and considered, making it a versatile addition to any home.

The bench takes its name from the tilted angles of its few, yet perfectly placed, structural elements. This subtle asymmetry gives the piece a sense of quiet movement, while its solid construction ensures lasting stability and function. Crafted from solid oak and finished with a black oiled surface, the Oblique Bench showcases the natural beauty of the wood grain while offering a refined, understated finish that suits a range of interior styles.

Beyond its role as a seat, the Oblique Bench doubles as a display surface, ideal for styling books, vases, and other cherished objects. Its low-slung profile also makes it a practical companion in the hallway, simplifying the daily ritual of putting on and taking off shoes.

With its thoughtful construction and dual functionality, the Oblique Bench is a testament to the idea that good design should be both beautiful and useful. Whether placed at the foot of a bed, in an entryway, or as a decorative platform in a living space, this piece brings a sense of calm, considered craftsmanship to everyday living.
