Frame by Harald Hermanrud is a modular shelving system designed to display rather than to store. Built on a principle of mathematical precision, its grid construction allows shelves, trays and boxes to be freely rearranged without tools, letting you compose your own ever-changing arrangement of books, plants, art and treasured objects. Small items can be neatly framed within the structure, while larger pieces are free to extend beyond it, creating a living, sculptural composition that evolves with its owner.

Conceived as an open, transparent alternative to closed storage, Frame suits a variety of settings: placed against a wall, used as a room divider, positioned as a backdrop to a sofa, or styled as a freestanding piece. Its airy construction lets daylight pass through, making it especially well suited to modern interiors with large glass surfaces and minimal partitioning.

The unit and shelves are crafted from polyurethane lacquered FSC™-certified solid oak, complemented by oak veneer and MDF, with solid brass rivet nuts left exposed at the joints. These brass details catch the light and reveal the logic of the construction, adding a refined, distinctly Scandinavian touch to the joinery. Despite its light, open profile, Frame remains sturdy thanks to its profiled sticks, countersunk into one another for a precise, durable fit.

Frame is available in Oak and Dark Oak, both offering the same warm, natural character in different tonal expressions. The piece measures 154 cm in width, 39 cm in depth and 95.4 cm in height, weighing 24.2 kg. Simply wipe with a damp cloth to maintain its finish over time.
