Audo Copenhagen Taper Bowl

The Taper Bowl by Colin King is a striking decorative object that bridges the gap between functional design and artistic expression. With its conical form and restrained aesthetic, this piece draws inspiration from ancient vessels while maintaining a distinctly contemporary sensibility. The familiar silhouette feels at home in any interior setting, whether displayed as a standalone sculptural element or put to practical use.

Crafted from aluminium and finished in warm brass, the Taper Bowl brings a subtle luminosity to your space. The brass finish adds depth and character, creating gentle reflections that evolve throughout the day. This versatility extends to its function—the bowl serves equally well as a catch-all for small items, keys, or jewelry, or stands beautifully empty as a decorative accent piece that commands attention through its elegant proportions.

Colin King, a master stylist professionally trained as a dancer, brings his unique perspective to product design. His background in spatial awareness and styling informs every detail of his work. The Taper Bowl exemplifies his philosophy of creating dramatic, expressive pieces that serve as striking finishing touches in any room. Each design is inspired by life's everyday rituals and the imperfections that make spaces beautiful.
