Astep Model 566 Table Lamp

Experience timeless elegance with the Astep Model 566 Table Lamp, a masterpiece originally designed by Gino Sarfatti in 1956. This iconic luminaire elegantly captures the essence of mid-century modern design, blending functionality with aesthetic perfection. The lamp stands with an air of poise, suggesting a gentle forward motion that contrasts beautifully with its structured body tube. This tube, uniquely accommodating the distinctive Cornalux bulb, is expertly supported by a simple yet effective rubber ring. This ring not only enhances the lamp's visual appeal but also serves a critical function, providing just the right amount of friction for seamless adjustability.

The base of the Model 566 has undergone a thoughtful transformation from cast-iron to a contemporary mixture of aluminium, magnesium, and copper. This innovative alloy choice not only fares better against corrosion but also aligns with modern ecological standards by being recyclable and reducing air pollution during its production. The design is completed with a tactile push-button on/off switch embedded in the base, echoing the satisfying click that is both familiar and comforting to use. The Astep Model 566 Table Lamp remains a testament to the brilliance of minimalist design, offering not just lighting but an enhancement to any interior space.
