101 Copenhagen Medusa Tray

The 101 Copenhagen Medusa Tray is a masterpiece that captures the intriguing and delicate essence of the Medusa jellyfish. Revered for its soft, oval shapes and detailed craftsmanship, this tray stands out as a sculptural entity that is both functional and aesthetically enchanting. Delicately raised on several conic shaped legs that mimic the tentacles of its namesake, each piece is poised off the ground, adding an element of intrigue and finesse to your interior decor.

Designed meticulously by Kristian Sofus Hansen and Tommy Hyldahl, the Medusa Tray revels in its simplicity and elegance. Each tray is carefully hand-glazed to achieve a unique surface texture that may subtly vary from piece to piece, testament to its handcrafted nature. Its ceramic construction is rooted in the Japanese philosophy of Wabi-Sabi, emphasizing a beauty found in imperfection and impermanence, characterized by natural earth tones and tactile finishes.

While the Medusa Tray adds a touch of sophistication to any room, it is important to handle it with care to maintain its pristine condition. It is advisable to clean the tray with a soft, dry cloth and avoid the use of harsh chemicals. Not fully waterproof, it serves more as a decorative item rather than for direct utility involving liquids.

Whether used as an individual statement piece or combined with other items from the Medusa collection, this tray is sure to enchant and inspire, offering a blend of natural elegance and subtle complexity that compliments any modern home.
