101 Copenhagen Formalism Tray

The Formalism Tray in Marble by 101 Copenhagen draws inspiration from the New Formalism architecture movement of the 1960s, celebrating the elegance and simplicity of perfect geometric lines. Designed by Kristian Sofus Hansen and Tommy Hyldahl, this striking piece embodies timeless design principles through its refined form and natural material.

Crafted from solid marble, each tray is meticulously handpicked from Indian marble suppliers to ensure the most homogeneous stones with minimal contrast. This careful curation results in an exceptionally even surface featuring faded earth tones and a sophisticated matte finish. The marble is untreated and develops a beautiful patina over time, inspired by the Japanese aesthetic of Wabi-Sabi, celebrating the natural aging process of materials.

Measuring 40 cm in length, 15 cm in width, and 8.5 cm in height, this versatile tray offers ample space for displaying decorative objects, serving, or organizing your space. Weighing 6.5 kg, it commands presence while remaining practical for everyday use.

As a natural material, marble requires gentle care to maintain its beauty. Clean the surface with a soft, dry cloth and avoid household cleaners and acidic substances that may leave marks. For daily maintenance, use a damp cloth followed by thorough drying to prevent moisture damage.

This discontinued design represents a final opportunity to own a piece from 101 Copenhagen's cherished collection. Available while stocks last, the Formalism Tray exemplifies the brand's commitment to quality craftsmanship and timeless Scandinavian design.
