101 Copenhagen Daiku Dining Chair

The Daiku Dining Chair in Deep Taupe by 101 Copenhagen represents a masterclass in architectural design applied to functional furniture. Inspired by modular building components, this chair features a distinctive cube-like silhouette with two interlocking volumes—the backrest and seat—that appear distinct yet harmoniously unified. The subtle division between these elements creates an almost floating effect, adding unexpected lightness to the sculptural form.

Designed by Kristian Sofus Hansen and Tommy Hyldahl, the Daiku collection merges Danish minimalism with contemporary sensibility. The chair's geometric clarity brings refined architectural presence to any dining table, while its open, inviting shape encourages comfort and social connection. Constructed with carefully layered foam and gently rounded edges, the design balances structural precision with soft tactile appeal. Minimal visible stitching reinforces its sleek, minimalist character.

Upholstered in warm Deep Taupe bouclé fabric, the chair offers a cozy, inviting experience. The bouclé weave features a dark taupe base interwoven with lighter highlights, creating depth and an earthy, sophisticated presence. Crafted from 100% polyester, this durable fabric combines luxurious comfort with excellent resilience, rated at 50,000 Martindale for everyday use.
